Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School was a great success. We had over 40 children participate in the event. thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out. We could not have done it without you.
Youth
The youth will once again participate in Weekend of the Cross at the end of July. Please contact Debbie Upton immediately if you wish to attend this mission event. Registration deadline has already passed, so we need to know immediately to see if you can attend.
Treasurer’s Report
For the month ending May 31, 2012: May 2012 is 41.7 percent of the way through the budget year. We have received 36.1% of our anticipated income for the year (the previous 5 year average by this date is 37.0%). We have expended 39.6% of our anticipated expenses for the year. We have spent $6,757 in excess of income as of May 2012.
Godspell
Godspell, Jr.project is full rehearsal mode. We want to make this a community effort. Debbie Labit Stricks is the assistant director along with Director Debbie Upton. We have a great group of kids who are looking for support. It's not too late. Sunday July 8th is the last date to buy stock. Actors are selling stock in their production. Our big production date is July 14th. Being a Stock Holder comes with many benefits, so you don't want to miss out; You will be invited to a special thank you BBQ dinner July 13th along with special preview of the July 14th show. It also allows the stockholder a line of advertisement in the July 14th program. Take stock in this worthwhile project. If you need more information please contact Debbie Upton at 504-261-8860.
Annual Conference
Debbie Upton represented our church and the New Orleans youth at annual conference. She has dvds of all of Adam Hamilton's lectures as well as the memorial service and the ordination service. If you are interested in viewing those dvds, please contact Debbie Upton to see if a viewing session can be set up or if the dvds can be loaned out.
